Hello everyone,
I was thinking last night when I arrived home that I forgot to thank everyone who worked with me yesterday.  I am the new guy in the Kung Fu class and I plan to be the new guy in the Wing Chun class as well.  I am sorry that I did not learn everyone's name and face so I cant thank you personally, but I want to say thank you to everyone who worked with me yesterday.  You all were very kind and very patient with me.  I am very excited and I cant wait to go to the next class.

My question revolves around training after class.  One thing I have noticed at the start is that my mental note taking is not what I would have hoped it to be.  I was wondering if it is allowed or would be accepted to bring a small note pad into class in which I can write notes during the training.  As I attempted to practice last night, I found that I cant seem to remember the names of the moves or some hand / feet positions that I would hate to have to ask again the next time I am in class.

Once again, thank you all very much for your patience and understanding!

Sincerely,
Mack

Absolutely you can take notes!  I would encourage it.  It typically makes training easier.  I still do it, and so does Sifu Alan.  In fact, the more you train, the more years you put in, the more you'll discover you NEED all those notes just to revisit it all.  It's also nice as a kind of chronicling of experience.
